June's love of horses began 10 years ago when a friend encouraged her to try endurance riding. "Endurance focuses on the horse's well-being. You are constantly learning about things like electrolytes, water, feed and proper hoof trimming. My mare began to show lameness problems and that is when my interest in the program offered in Vernon plus the timing started me off on a new career path. I enrolled at the B.C. College of Equine Therapy and after two years of training am now a Certified Equine and Sport Massage Therapist."

For example, June is able to help a horse through colic, lameness or chronic problems like heaves or ring bone. Assessment in behavioural problems can be as simple as having a saddle fit properly. Nutritional analysis and muscle testing are done in humans and can now be applied to the comfort of your horse. There is even aromatherapy.

June charges $50.00 for a treatment and has a flat rate for travel. She will negotiate long term treatment care.

Lori has expanded her expertise and is offering her clients a full range of services starting with a personalized consultation and project design. If the client wishes she will take care of purchasing the chosen materials, hiring, and overseeing the contractors providing full project management to satisfactory completion.

"After a client calls for a consultation, I create a design to meet their tastes and lifestyle. We will go over paint colours, fabric swatches, and flooring samples so the customer can make selections. I will then provide a computer generated design that they can take to their supplier, or they can hire me to take care of the whole project for them."
"Renovating and redecorating is an investment for the home owner. I like to walk through the whole process, pick their brain and get feedback so I can design to suit the customer. I need to know their likes/dislikes in colours, style, and come up with a formatted plan. I have watched too many people take on their own renovating project and end up with the bathtub up against the toilet! There are design rules of thumb that I can assist them with and help to utilize the space in the most efficient and pleasing manner. I charge $25.00 an hour for a minimum of 2 hours consultation. For this I provide a formal letter with a price point for the client. I charge a fee to generate the project design."
